Dennis Kimsey Obituary

Dennis L. Kimsey, of Seward, was born on November 26, 1953 to William J., Sr. and Audra (Birdsong) Kimsey in Jefferson City, Missouri.  He graduated from Laura Speed Elliot High School in Boonville, Missouri in 1971.  He served in the United States Army from 1972-1975.  On September 12, 1974, Dennis was united in marriage to Karin Karm in Sindellfingen, Germany.  Dennis was a truck driver, like his dad, and drove for the co-op before he retired.  In his free time, he enjoyed watching old western movies on T.V. and playing with his dogs, Lucy and Raven.  Dennis passed away on December 29, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 4 days.  He is survived by his wife, Karin Kimsey of Seward, Nebraska; mother, Lois Kimsey of Seward, Nebraska; daughters, Shawna (Jarvis) Daniels of Broomfield, Colorado, Diane (Jake) Rojas of McCool Junction, Nebraska, Sonja (Joe) Frank of Montana, Bettina (Bernd) Elzenbaumer of Germany;  12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Shelley (Gary) Johnson of Seward, Nebraska, James (Lisa) Kimsey of Seward, Nebraska, William (Melissa) Kimsey, Jr. of Seward, Nebraska, Melinda (Steven) Zey of Blue Springs, Missouri, Russell (Susan) Brandes of Prairie Home, Missouri, Dustin (Glenda) Kaiser of Jefferson City, Missouri; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  Dennis was preceded in death by his father, William Kimsey, Sr.; mother, Audra Gunter; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Quincy Kimsey; daughter, Cindi Kimsey; brother, Ricky Kimsey; grandparents, Lawrance and Lucille Kimsey and Albert and Dorothy Birdsong.
